1. World Passkey Day 2026: Passkey Benchmark released#

For World Passkey Day 2026, Corbado has released the Passkey Benchmark 2026, a public reference of eight production KPIs that CIAM, IAM and product teams can use to compare their passkey rollout against the 2026 field. The benchmark covers three layers (readiness, creation and usage) and combines them into a passkey login rate via a scenario model. It is published openly at corbado.com/passkey-benchmark-2026, with a dedicated detail page per KPI.

2. Why this Benchmark exists#

Reliable passkey adoption data is still scarce. Most teams land on opaque case studies, vendor decks or single-number headlines. Authentication professionals asked us every week for a number to compare their rollout against. So we packaged what we see across the market into one document and gave it back to the community: more than 100 qualitative interviews with CIAM and identity teams in Q1 2026, normalized data from Corbado consulting and product telemetry across consumer-facing deployments and structured signals from public passkey rollouts.

4. Scope and Method#

Quantitative ranges are normalized from Corbado consulting and product telemetry across large B2C deployments, cross-checked against public rollout signals. The qualitative layer draws on more than 100 interviews with authentication and product teams behind consumer-facing programs in Q1 2026. Workforce and internal-IT identity programs are out of scope.
